LIVE NATION REDESIGN

User Experience | Visual Design | User Research | User Testing

OVERVIEW

Team: Yuti Vora, Saumya Pasi, Zheng Cao,

Yu-Tsen Liu
Focus: User Experience + Visual Design
The mission: Make waiting for concerts less painful, more memorable

THE PROBLEM

Xfinity Center: 25,800 seat capacity. 7,000 lawn seats. 20-minute drive from nearest station.

Result: Traffic chaos. Long waits. Bored crowds standing around. Missed opportunities for connection and memories.

WHAT WE LEARNED

Venue observation at Xfinity Center: We spent time at Xfinity Center observing real concertgoers, capturing traffic chaos, parking struggles, and the aimless waiting that kills pre-show energy.

USER INTERVIEWS

Aashay, 23: "I keep the wristbands, they're core memories."

Ishaan, 22: "I like venues that provide good experiences and vibes."

David, 36: "Concerts are about meeting people and sharing experiences."

The insight: People don't just want to see the show, they want the whole experience to feel memorable.

KEY FEATURES

✓ Anticipation matters: Pre-concert excitement is part of the experience
✓ Memory-making: Merch, wristbands, shared moments = lasting connection
✓ Dead time frustrates: Long waits without engagement = wasted opportunity
✓ Social connection: Concerts are about people as much as music

OUR DIRECTION

Turn dead waiting time into:

  • Memorable experiences

  • Easier arrivals/departures

  • Social connections

  • Stress-free navigation

IDEATION PROCESS

We mapped the entire concert journey, from leaving home to getting back, identifying every friction point and opportunity to improve the experience. Then brainstormed features that could actually solve them.
